Spring is here! Time to go to the Farmers Market, by Theresa & Timothy Minor

It is springtime again! After a long cold winter we are ready and so excited to be out again at our local farmers markets, craft shows and special events. We have enlisted our family member, Kristen Minor to handle some of the markets. We will be participating in about 5 markets this season Newtown Square Farmers Market, Media Farmers Market, Carousel Park Farmers Market, Glasgow Farmers Market and Thornton Farmers Market. The market season will run from now until late October.

We have been with the Newtown Square Farmers Market for about 5 years now. PRC Newtown Square Farmers’ Market at Mostardi’s Nursery will begin on June 3rd. It is located  at 4033 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, every Wednesday, 2:00-6:00PM, June 3 - Oct 29. The Newtown Square Farmers' Market is managed by the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC). The Mostardi family has been a tremendous support for PRC.

Media Farmers Market is a weekly, open-air, grower/producer market featuring fresh food, locally raised and crafted. Established in 2009 as a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, Media Farmers Market brings area farmers, residents, and businesses together in support of the “Eat Fresh, Buy Local” movement, thereby enhancing our community and supporting our environment.  All products are raised, grown, or handmade by the vendors.  While some farms are not certified organic, most use organic practices, including Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and pasture their livestock. Local businesses, non-profit organizations, and performing artists are featured regularly. Media Farmers Market is located in the parking lot next to the Media Theatre, on the corner of State and Gayley Streets, in Media, PA. Open every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine, from the second week of May through the week before Thanksgiving. The Market will be open from May 14 through November 19.



We will also be participating in the Carousel Park Farmers Market and  Glasgow Farmers Market. The NCCFMP farmers markets will run from late - May through October every Friday. And we will be attending each market on alternating Fridays. Glasgow Regional Park Farmers’ Market: is located at 2275 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 (near the intersection of Pulaski Hwy & Rt. 896) and the Carousel Park Farmers’ Market is located at 3700 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. 

Last but certainly not least is the Thornton Farmers Market which is open every Saturday from 11am to 2pm on Glen Mills Road between Thornton and Cheyney Roads. Just look for the flags down the street from Thornbury Park! The Thornton Farmers Market operates during the Spring to Fall growing season. They offer fresh eggs from free range chickens, organic produce, local honey, hearth baked breads, canned goods, cakes, pies, dog treats, cut flowers in arrangements, BBQ and much more. Come pet the Alpacas and learn about these fascinating animals. Fun for the whole family!

Connecting with Customers, By Theresa & Timorhy Minor

For over 5 years we have participated in various outdoor markets, farmers markets and craft shows. We have traveled from the Philadelphia area to as far north as Connecticut and as far south as North Carolina. The greatest thing about being a vendor at various events is that we get to meet so many interesting people from the promoters of the events to the loyal customers! One of those regular customers is Robin Mastrippolito. 

At 10:00am every Saturday in West Chester, PA its "Market Day" at the Artisan Exchange. The Artisan Exchanged is the only indoor market of it's kind in the area. One of the wonderful things about being a vendor at the Artisan Exchange is the people that we meet. The people are friendly, well informed, artistic and most of all very supportive of the vendors. Robin has been coming to the Artisan Exchange since the market opened. She is a customer who takes her time wandering through the market to check out each and every vendor.

As makers of handcrafted luxury bath & body products we value our customers. And our customers play a huge part in our business. In many ways our customers played a role in the development of the various fragrances that we currently offer. Its customers like Robin that offers us encouragement and support. She visits us almost every weekend to buy our Gourmet Luxury Soap and she also gives us the most tastiest cupcakes and the icing is to die for!  Her cupcakes are 100% made from scratch.

Its always a pleasure connecting with people and hearing their stories. The vendors and customers have become a part of our working family. Loyal patrons like Robin Mastrippolitois is one of  the reasons we truly enjoy participating in markets and craft shows. We get to meet our customers face to face and give them the experience of our Handcrafted Luxury Bath & Body Products. This experience invigorates the human senses of touch, smell and sight. Support your local arts, By Theresa & Timothy Minor

This past summer we participated in about 6 farmers markets, one in particular was the Bellefonte Farmers Market.  This farmers market was new to the area and just like other farmers markets the people who organized it, Stu, Wendy and Frank wanted to bring fresh local food to their community.

At every market there are always members of the community that appreciate the merchants and the products we have to offer.

While shopping, one of the local artist's of the area suggested that we place our products in Bellefonte Arts. Bellefonte Arts, is a "visceral gallery and studio, that celebrates and showcases various artistic mediums, and forms of expression. Diverse cultural and human creativity is valued, highlighted, and presented through a collaborative effort of the local Bellefonte Arts community." Located on 803 Brandywine Blvd, Wilmington, DE 19809.
